SENCO or not?

Have just been offered an opportunity to take over from our SENCO at the end of next year. Would mean shadowing them next year and taking over the year after. I am in a complete quandry, I am very flattered to have been asked, but have two children myself and wondered if there are any SENCOs on here who could give me pros and cons of the job? I work pt at the mo.
Would be ks1 and FS.
Any advice extremely gratefully received!!!!!
