How much playtime is enough?

I'm bloody exhausted? If I'm going out I do twenty minutes before I go to work and about half an hour when I get in. When I'm off she's all over me every minute to go and get her sparkly sticks I'm knackered!

How old is she? Smile

Six months op next week! My friends have her siblings and don't do this! My house is like a crèche. I feel guilty that I'm in a flat and she can't run up and down the stairs

Has she got toys she can play with on her own? Laser pointer is the low energy way of playing and they still love it. Add a small cat tunnel for pouncing out of maybe?

She's still a kitten then. Keep at it - she should calm down a bit with some age on her.

Sounds like Ozzy. He's four months. I think they'll calm down.

I've always wondered whether to get mine one of those Catit maze type toys. Something like this Anyone got one or similar?

Have to say though, my last cat was 15 and still played a lot 😬

I have the Catit speed circuit. My cats love it. It's also popular with humans!

My cat loved the ball run toys. She went into Killer Mode

Oh my lordy! The Catit speed circuit looks ace! Get one OP and Mantra. Then post videos here. My 2 would love it. I wonder if my dog would be able to see the ball? She can't see a laser pen and just stares in bewilderment at the cats when we play with them using the pen.

Heman it's just a red flashing light inside the ball that starts when it moves, but the ball's yellow so you can see it without it. Zooplus sell the balls really cheaply if I remember right.

You can fit other things in the middle. I don't recommend the catit massage centre though, neither of them are interested.

Ooooh! I was just looking at that one on Amazon Living! There is a review on there (might be on the newer model) from someone who bought it for her little dog - complete with photo! I'm getting it for my furbabies for Christmas. They can share!

I've ordered it. My youngest cat will love it. As will my little JRT. Not sure about my eldest cat. She rolls her eyes at the antics of the other 2 Grin. Although she'll probably have a go when no one is looking!

I now know what to get the boys for Christmas! Just need to measure floor-space - cos I'm a bit anal like that.

Little M's favourite toy atm is a giant rubber band. So much so, I acquired a box full - he's a bit of a hoarder. He's never shown even the merest hint of nibbling it... but I worry and put them away after a play session. He does a crazy soaring through the air in order to pounce on it. Grin

I have the catit circuit she loved it at first but doesnt use it as much now. You name it we have it. She actually prefers this one www.amazon.co.uk/Catit-51096-Play-n-Scratch-Toy-Green/dp/B00EQFRCAG/ref=sr_1_16?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1479851834&sr=1-16&keywords=catit&tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21 likes the scratch mat in the middle. She enjoyed the bird that hangs from the door frame unfortunately shes pulled it so much it wont hang from the frame now. Her absolute favourite thingsthough are the feathers that hang from a wand. I have to run ariund the flat waving them all the time.sime times i have to hold it over the end of the tunnel while she goes through. About twenty times. I swear i have a hernia with all the bending over.
