Going to let Big Ginge and Little Ginge outside. Am terrified. BastardCat was killed on the road. But they are desperate to be out and really will not be happy house cats.

Am also rather concerned for the local wildlife. We bottled it last weekend as we had fledglings in the garden and the squirrels are getting bold as brass on the patio. In fact, the way they have been reacting to the owl is rather concerning too. Please, boys, no presents

I doubt they'd have much luck with an owl. On Springwatch, they had an "Owlcam" set up in the nest, watching a pair of siblings. The (only slightly) bigger one started grooming the littler one, then swallowed it whole, head first! The last thing you saw were the little talons, disappearing down the bigger owlet's gullet.

Squirrels on the other hand, are goady little fuckers. I had one scale my leg once because I wasn't giving it some pecan pie quickly enough. I was wearing shorts as well. So be prepared for the odd "gift" of a headless squirrel corpse. Cats seem to like the brains. Like zombies. Confused

How exciting yet scary! How old are they. I'm some way off that as I've only just brought my little ginger kitten home a few days ago. Any tips very welcome ready going outside.

Well after two abortive attempts, Big Ginge has disappeared somewhere up the garden and we are on hot bricks - including Little Ginge who is too scared to put his nose out of the back door.

I can't do this. Argh.

It gets better.

A little. Smile
