The litter tray

Do I need to take Lola to the Vet

I suspect I will do, just need to make sure I am not blowing out of proportion.

Lola is 6 months old and today I noticed a small patch by her ear that looks scabbed over. It's a little red but dry (no weeping), but there must have been some ort of injury??

She is not in pain and currently letting her sister clean it with no complaints.

They are both still indoor kittens - have been vaccinated, wormed etc. The works.

The last time they were at the wets was about 4 months to get spayed.

I am so annoyed I have only just seen this.

They are rather vigorous playmates - is it likely an injury caused by that or more suspicious??

It's about the size of a 5 pence piece. Poor Lola

It doesn't sound major. I'd be inclined to leave it a week or so to see if it just heals (which I suspect it will). Do you want to post a photo?

Have you flea treated? One of ours had an allergy and would scratch.
Is it hot?

That's a thought. And ear mites are another possibility, which will cause scratching. I think Stronghold kills both fleas and ear mites.

Yup been flea treated - is it advocate from the vets??

Hmm ear mites??

She doesn't scratch the site at all - if anything her sister grooms her quite well there - could it be she is getting over groomed??

I will try to grab a picture later - trust her to be sleeping on it!
