Will my kitten change colour?

He's 6 weeks old at the moment so he will be with his mum until the middle of June. Do you think he'll stay this colour or is it likely to change? I don't know much about kittens so I don't know whether he'll go darker or not Blush

I'm going to the rescue tomorrow to see him again.

I'd imagine he'll be much the same. Smile

Ime, he'll stay pretty much the same, as pp have said. If his eyes are still blue, they'll probably change to greenish.

Oooh he's lovely and a gorgeous colour which to answer your question shouldn't change.

Blue as a name? Or Buxton!

I'm sat here alone in my living room shouting out names in my baby/pet voice to see what I like the sound of. If anyone could see me Grin

He may lose some of the 'shadow' markings as he grows. He is a beautiful cat.

Often the lighter shades get lighter and the darker shades darker on silver tabbies when they lose their kitten fur and get a proper adult coat at about 6months of age.

My puss was similar when she was a kitten, now she has much more defined, light and dark markings.

Black cats often have faint tabby markings when they are kittens. This kitty may finish up all grey. He's gorgeous!

He's a gorgeous colour Smile

My ginger boy started off quite a pale ginger as a kitten, but his fur gradually darkened and his stripes are more defined now he's an adult.

He's gorgeous! My sister's cat has recently had kittens and I'm going to have this one when he's ready to leave his mother. DH said no, but tough. Our other cat is going to have a friend Grin

My blak cats were all black when i got them with tabby markings if you saw them in the right light. In the last couple of weeks they have both lost the markings and one has now got random white hairs dotted about and a white mark on his tummy.
