Our one year anniversary with Ariel!

It's a year ago today that we got Ariel, then aged three. She was a very nervous little thing and spent most of her time behind the washing machine or under the kitchen cabinets. She'd been in a home with very domineering cats and was terrified of everything, including us.
Now with a lot of love she is much more confident and loves lying on our bed in the sunshine, being fed treats by the children and staring snootily at the dog (who wouldn't dare go near her!)
She has only put on 200g since we got her, but her fur has become thick and luscious and she looks twice the size! First pic is of her a year ago, and then now!
My girls want to have a 'birthday' party for her tonight

I remember it well. She was a pretty girl then - but an even prettier one now!

cozie I've said that she can have a bit of our roast chicken tonight and that they can make her a card...
It's lovely that you remember her - everyone here was so helpful when I was panicking about her hiding under the cupboards!
She's still not the most sociable cat but she's a very happy girl now and it's lovely to hear her purring away.
