Do "feisty" cats calm down?

My gorgeous boy cat is 2 today and it got me wondering if he'd ever calm down! He is the oldest of our 3 cats - others are girl cat who will be 2 next month and younger boy who will be one in November. They are all neutered and have been since we got them.
Anyway we got the oldest between Christmas and New Year the Christmas before last when he was about 4.5 months and he's been a bit of a bugger ever since. He bites, scratches, growls like a dog and steals food at every opportunity but he loves us and me in particular- he paddles, purrs and sucks my clothes but more often than not he is a twat!
When he went to the vet for his boosters she asked if he was feral and he had to be knocked out to have his claws cut - today it took 3 cat friendly adults to do his claws and we all ended up bleeding!
Anyway I was just wondering if he is likely to calm down a bit or will we have to wait until he's a geriatric kitty? We all love him to bits but I do groan when he leaps from under the sofa, growls at the kids, gives them a nip and runs off with whatever they are eating (he especially likes cereal). So wise mumslitteres am I likely to have another 15+ (hopefully) years of a naughty boy?

My "feisty" one is eight and shows no signs of calming. I am a vet and he bites and attacks me when I give him a vaccination or flea treatment. None of my nurses will have anything to do with him.

In my experience of 2 feisty cats (I like that phrase - it's like when really naughty children are described as "spirited" :o) - no, they stay feisty. I have a 3 year old boy who's still a complete bugger. And years ago we had one who just stayed hyper until he died at about 10. Sweet when he wanted a cuddle, but he'd just as soon have your arm off.

Um, in a word - No . If it makes you feel better my last cat was vile when she went to the Vets. Whenever I took her in the Vet would say "Oh, it's YOU" .

Ours is six, still waiting here too. Very loving animal most of the time.

Seniorboy has calmed down a lot in the last couple of years. (Since he was 18 that is.) Although he's been dashing about today quite a lot.

Is he an indoor cat, OP ? And what game playing do you do with him?

Mine is now 12 and still feisty. He knocks everything down, nips, nicks food at any opportunity (loves cheese and pizza), drink tea out of your cup, chases your feet, the vet will only handle him with leather gauntlets on. So I think they stay like that! He is also very loving and also loves me in particular. He always wants to be around people and loves jumping into cars.

Ah well it sounds like we will have fun for years to come . He's not in indoor cat and we play with him as often as he tells us to! I'm definitely his favourite but he does allow his other slaves to play with him when it suits! Funny boy it's lucky for him that we are all crazy enough to love him for all of his ways.
