The litter tray

Raw feeding

I currently feed my dog mostly raw and have tried to introduce my kitten to the same diet.
She is doing well, she loves ribs, chicken wings and fuzzy mice.

But I have some questions, first of all, what on earth is in natures menu frozen raw cat food?!?!
It stinks, she refuses flat out to eat it so the dog is having it.

She goes mental for the dog's naturediet trays, will it harm her seeing as it's meant for dogs?
The dog doesn't have it often, she tends to eat more bone in meat but these past few days I didn't want to go shopping so broke out the naturediet and natures menu frozen for the girls.

Also, how do you feed day old chicks...?
I bought some, I defrosted and skinned one, boy was that revolting! And have snipped it up a bit with some scissors.
She ate the yolk sac and hasn't gone back to it yet.
Is it safe to feed them 'as is'?
What about the feathers?
Will they give her a blockage or hair balls if she eats them?
Am I meant to skin all whole prey?

We feed our Ragdoll raw but we buy it minced direct from vet, it has no smell at all once defrosted. We tried a Lilly's kitchen can once and it reeked and really upset the children, made me grateful for feeding raw and for our vet supplying the frozen raw food in handy daily portions!

Yikes, sounds traumatic! If you're making up your own raw, make sure you add the needed supplements. Cat and dog food are very different - dogs are omnivores, cats obligate carnivores.
