The litter tray

It's been an interesting day...

So our 2 fluffy white girls, that we've had for almost a year - are in fact boys Shock

You'd think that the massive testicles would have given it away Hmm - we questioned their sex last time we went to the vets and were
told that they were girls...

Now, getting our heads round that idea is strange - but since we came back from the vets this afternoon, one of them has been constantly trying to hump the other one. I've had to find a spare litter tray and separate them for the night to give her him some peace.

Wtf do I do with them? And why has this suddenly happened today?

They're due to be neutered in 2 weeks btw, but I don't know how to stop them fighting and trying to shag Sad

Does anyone have any advice please?

How in God's name did a VET miss testicles? Please change your vet!!!
My baby boy is 13 weeks old today and it is perfectly obvious he has little furry nuts Grin and I won't be waiting to get them removed... 5-6 months max!
Can you not get them booked in.. elsewhere preferably.. earlier? Other than that keeping them locked in separately may be the only way forward :/

Will they need a name change? My Mum's next door neighbour's cat is called Bella... he too turned out to be on the masculine side and is now known as
'Bella the fella' Grin

We have changed our vet today! I can't believe that they told us that! We already have 2 girls, both spayed, thank goodness or we would have been in serious trouble...

I've put them to bed separately tonight, it seems such a shame, they've always been quite cuddly together. But why has the behaviour changed so suddenly today? It's weird.

They're called Dandelion and Burdock - so we've just shortened one to Dandy.

I wouldn't wait two weeks to get them neutered if I could humanly avoid it - see what you can do tomorrow on the phone.

Who knows but that the vet's visit has triggered something in the one who's trying to shag the other: all those interesting new smells at the vet practice for instance. He seems to be the main culprit?

Other than trying to get them neutered ASAP, I'm not sure there's much you can do at the moment apart from trying to keep them seperate from each othr and the girls.

Best of luck - and keep an eye and a cleaning bottle open for possible spraying inside the house. If they're confined and antsy about it, you may get some pungent pees on eg wall surfaces. (You might be lucky and get away with that but I'm just warning you.)
