Scrapping Girls

We adopted two cats from the RSPCA about five months ago. Both are very nervous and one still hasn't let us touch her. They seem to get on very well but in the past few days seem to have started scrapping more. At times it seems very playful but once or twice it has seemed a little more violent. After their scraps they seem quite happy to sleep on the same chair or hide under a table together.

I'm not used to having two cats so not sure if this is normal behaviour and they are just being boisterous or if I should be worried.

Perfectly normal.

Thanks. I'm just paranoid because they are so nervous and had such a horrid start in life. They are starting to come out of hiding more and one is now playing with toys for the first time so I guess they are just becoming a little more lively.

my mother has two cats who seem to be conducting a silent war at times. Tortie will sleep in gingercat's bed, gingercat will them sit with his back to her to signal his disgust until we tip tortie into her own bed and gingercat settles down.Tortie has actually bitten gingercat quite hard on the neck. But at other times they seem to curl up together and play together...who knows, cats are very strange.
