i went over to work at the rescue center today, phone started ringing , man found a tiny kitten in his garden got him to bring it over and persuaded him to keep for a couple of days till we can find a foster parent, then a man with a mom and 3 kittens same scenario looking for foster for them, then a lady whos son is losing his home next week, couldnt help her except to point where to go, then advise for lady who adopted a kitten from us who seems determined to eat anything in the house edible and pestering her and kids for food, several people enquiring about adopting cats or kittens,

then after lunch just as all the experienced morning staff/ vounteers left everyone who had enquired all turned up more or less together so the few of us left all running round trying to show people round, in the middle of the mayhem some person dumped an adult male cat in a carrier at the entrance to our car park, no pen for him so poor lad had to sit in the carrier in the office till we could sort out a pen for him by rehoming another cat

I'd love to foster & I have the room, I also have a bully of a cat and I worry the cats would be worse off with me not better or that a mother would eat the kittens.

Fluffy very few cats eat their kittens if anything they tend to either lose interest in them or their milk dries up or they are so young they just dont know what to do with them, but there are more successful rears than flops was happy today because in amongst the cute kittens that got reserved we also managed to get reserved two hard to home adult cats wesley who is 5 and a gentle cat and birdy who is young pretty but nervous

I couldn't risk that Shock next doors alpha male hasn't been seen for a while, our boy sits on the Wendy house in their garden waiting for their cats to come out.

I detect a certain coolness from next door...

So a good day overall, really? (Despite the various problems.)
