My lovely boy Oscar was 19 and started having breathing problems this morning, as a result of heart failure. We did the right thing but I miss him so much.

Thank you all xxx

I'm feeling a bit flat but I know it will pass. He passed very peacefully and was being stroked by DH and I so he knew we were there.

I'm so sorry. It's a horrible decision to make, but it was your final kindness to him. xx

So sorry for you, but as others have said, you gave Oscar a a very good life, and that was why he lived to a such a fine old age. You did do the right thing for him at the end.

RIP Oscar.

Oh lovely I'm sorry to hear this. It is hard but it really is the final kindness to let them go. I had to do it with my 20 year old boy a couple if years ago and it broke my heart so I know how you must be feeling. Big hugs Thanks

Big hug, we did the same this week with our labrador, heartbroken, so I know where you are coming from.

Sunshine I am so sorry
Even though it was the right decision, it's still so hard and it's awful not to see them in the house when you are used to them being there all the time (I had to have my 18 yr old tabby girl pts nearly 3 weeks ago and am still having waves of tearfulness even though it was absolutely the right & kindest thing to do)

So sorry to hear that. Thinking of you.
My cat died at home last Nov. she was going to be PTS that night. She died in DD's arms. We still miss her so much.
