The litter tray

Where is my cat?

Ok - I know you can't answer that!

So my 11 year old tabby is missing. She's in very good health, she's an excellent hunter and she's usually very predictable.

We live very rurally - think a hamlet surrounded by fields - only 20 odd houses, no main road or anything - very little traffic. I saw her 9 days ago opposite my house sat on a wall. Since then - nothing.

Her routine is that she sleeps indoors all day and then goes out at 11pm every night. She is waiting outside to come in at 7am each morning. No cat flap or anything. She has done this for years and years. She won't spend the night indoors- miaows to go out from 11pm.

She is not wearing a collar , she isn't micro chipped - all the villagers know she is ours.

I've put a couple of posters up and I've searched a few barns. Is there anything else I could do?

She's done this before by the way - but the longest time previously was about 4 days. No more than that. 9 days seems a long time.

She's not coming back is she?

Oh dear.

Maybe there's a glut of mice around you and she is having too much fun to come back? It has been really mild overnight recently so there's no need to head home for a nap.

Oh there's certainly a glut of everything! She catches mice, rats, robins, rabbits, bats - all sorts!

Is there anyone around who's on holiday? Many years ago one of mine got stuck in someone's house when they went off.

Fingers crossed that she comes back safe and sound.

Not as far as I know : (

I only have one neighbour really - the village is so tiny that I can't even really go looking for her - unless I want to tramp across fields in any direction!

Checked another barn today and a couple of outbuildings but nada

Any sign of her?
Mine has twice now got himself locked in a barn.

Hi secret

No sign yet. 11 days tomorrow. Had a walk up and down shouting her last night but nothing.

I don't think she's been knocked down because there is no main road here. An accident maybe?

I'd just like to know. Crap isn't it?

Hi OP, any sign of your girl yet?

Sadly no ! And it's err day 15 today.

I'm almost giving up hope I think. This is unheard of in all her years. But I'm really puzzled by it. She's fit, there are no 'roads' here, she's road savvy anyway. She's a creature of habit - goes out every night and is always in the door step every morning. Been that way for years and years.

So where the bloody hell is she? No response to posters that we've put up .

I'm beginning to think that she must have had an accident. Can't be any other explanation can there?

And it's a shame because I'm so used to her being here getting under my feet that it feels weird that she's gone

Is she likely to turn up now ?

Anything is possible, Sh1ney. My Mom had a cat that was away for nearly a couple of months. He wasn't in the best of shape when he came back but he came back and we never found out where he'd been.

Ill keep hoping then for a whole longer yet! Thinking about bashing about in a few hedges down the lane with a stick in case she's in one of them injured
