The litter tray

My cat has just wolfed a load of blue cheese

I had some cheese and crackers on a plate. Went out the room for a minute, came back and caught my cat scoffing all the blue cheese. He's now sniffing around for more!

Will it make him ill?

I doubt it but you may have a bit more litter tray clearing out to do it may give him an upset tummy.

Our nutty cat once are a whole lb of cheddar someone left on the counter whilst they were cat sitting. The very said to keep an eye and make sure there was plenty of fresh litter. He went on to live another 7 very happy years and he was never put off stealing cheese!

As a vet who struggles to tablet her cat, she gets her dose of blue cheese every night - hope it puts your mind at rest.

Depends how much she ate. It won't hurt her as such, but if she ate a huge lump, you'll be seeing it again - very soon.

Sorry.

It was quite a big slab. He seems okay. We keep him in at night so still have a litter tray, so will keep an eye on that!

Our cat will eat any butter or cheese left lying around. No ill effects so far, but she has only managed to snaffle relatively small amounts.

Hope he is ok Smile
