My husband and I are moving to se Asia for a year, and leaving our beloved two year old tabby with my brother

She is quite feisty, v soppy but does get wound up and Like to play, and often a bit unfriendly to visitors, though adores us

Does anyone have advice on how to move her? Should I stay with her in the new house for a while? How long before she should be let out?

I'll be so sad to leave her but know my brother will dote on her too once they are used to each other

Any advice much appreciated, thank you!

sounds like an ideal house with no distractions, best way to move her is in a cat carrier with a blanket over it so she cant see where shes going so less likley to try to get back to your old house, and probably wont need to stay with her as she should settle into living with your brother ok especially if your brother has been to your house so she knows him, and get him to keep her in for about two to three weeks with lots of access to the windows so she can orientate herself, and if shes microchipped make sure you update the details before you go to your brothers address,
