I have had to start bringing two glasses of water up to bed with me. One for me, one for her royal highness the cat.

She then leaves my glass alone, and just drinks hers left on the floor.

I tried putting a book or whatever on top of my glass but she would knock it off or sit trying to move it with the power of the miaow. Neither of which I like at 3am.

My sister has a cat who will only drink evian water from a cup!!!
How it managed to differentiate between evian and tap water and a cup and a water bowl I'll never understand.

My kitten will only eat treats(dried food we call treats) off the floor and not out of the dish as apparently thats for wet pouch food only!

you're lucky, even if there are 3 glasses of water by the bed he always manages to drink out of the fresh one I brought up for myself!

LOL
I just get in there before I go to sleep, after that I don't mind, I always hear him having a slurp at about 4am...
Once I'm asleep I don't usually drink again, unless in extreme hangover cases, then I don't think I'd care about sharing!

teanosugar my little madam likes her dry treats off the floor too. They remain untouched in her bowl :-)

They like hunting for water, we too have this issue, they love water out of the water fountain but not as much as a glass of water that belongs to someone else!

I have a bottle of water by my bed, otherwise it is 'slurp slurp'

Kitten is currently training DH to get him out of the conifers when he gets stuck.
Sits precariously swinging on a branch, meowing pitifully.....then just hops into DH's arms when the ladders come out - three times last week.
