Hope no-one is eating!

My cat, who was wormed mid October, has just puked up a worm. It was whity/pink in colour, thin and about 5cm long. Eugghhhhhhhh.

Does anyone know what this type of worm is, and what I need to do now???

TIA

sounds like a tape worm. Ring the vet and you can buy some tabs from them to sort it out. The stuff they sell in pet shops is a waste of money.

I thought you meant she'd eaten an earthworm! Bleuch. Hope you get it sorted!

I think, having looked at pics on the web (I need to get out more!) that is was a roundworm, as tapeworms are flatter looking.

I was just surprised as they were wormed mid-October.

Womers have no residual effect so if your lovely darling catches vermin they can be reinfected very quickly. With these types of cats we recommend monthly roundworm treatment and advocate works very well for this.

Thanks all. Have got some Milbemax from the vet. Wish me luck! Have a pill-popper to aid me :)
