Introducing new dog & routine

We already have a 1yr old female. We've just rescued a 2yr old male from a breed specific rescue. He's currently in a foster home.
Both dogs are very well trained, get on like a house on fire & are similar energy wise.


We're hopefully bringing him home in the next few days. My question is, do we take time off work to settle him in or do we just carry on with our normal routine?
