Finally the positive reinforcement programme we have been wanting for ages. Nandi Brown and Jo Rosie Haffenden are the trainers.

Who is watching?

It was wonderful.

I think the transformation in the boxer was utterly amazing. Shows what good training can do, even when dogs have been through a lot.

The man with the Labrador was transformed more than the Labrador I think (the dog did very well too). It was lovely to see how much the dog just being there had obviously helped him.

Brilliant. There should be far more shows like this. Loved it. Hopefully it'll become really popular. We need someone to be an antidote to Cesar fucking Millan.

Ooh hello Jo!
Honestly it was so lovely to see stuff done properly. There's a real need for shows like this that showcase R+, clicker training and so on. Showing the amazing results that can be achieved with humane methods. In its own way it's just as exciting for the layperson to watch as seeing The Dog Kicker getting mauled week after week 😀

I watched it and found it very moving. To have a dog working with you when you feel so excluded from life is amazing. I just wish they wouldn't have the Race Against Time. I hope this programme will help people understand better our relationship with our dogs, and I would be interested in understanding more about the selection. What are you looking for in terms of temperament in particular? If a dog is temperamentally unsuited to the particular task, why?
I keep 3 collies, all as pet dogs, and I do my best as an owner to give them a good life under the circumstances I live with. I have a few behaviourists I call on because I can't do it on my own.
It is just lovely to see lives changed, and some kind of symbiosis between species.

Really enjoyed the show, so heartwarming to watch and a great advertisement for rescue dogs too. Totally convinced dh now that our next dog will be a rescue. Really lovely dogs and wasn't Duke a beauty?

We watched and found it overwhelming. The people, the dogs and the trainers, all amazing and beautiful. How the black lab had been abandoned twice was unbelievable!
Set to record next week and told everyone at work to watch.

I've just finished watching it and am a total snotty mess Blush

The change in both dogs and owners at the end of such a short period of time was just wonderful. Such an inspiring thing to see.

I loved this! I've had rescue dogs for years and it was just so great to have such a positive programme, but also showing the hard work that everyone put in.

My 8yo dd watched it too, and learnt so much. I'm an OT and felt it was full of really teachable moments.

Loved the house, Jo, been looking at houses in Herefordshire recently, the DH is from there and I'm determined we're moving there!

It was fabulous.

Humane, up to date training advice (as opposed to CMs utter bollocks), trainers who got the job done without ever feeling the need to dress in dominatrix gear (yeah I know VS was just doing what the producers told her), and dogs/humans having their lives immeasurably improved. Just lovely 👍🏻

It's a brilliant programme. Clicker training is great. I'd forgotten just how much I like toy poodles, Teddy was so lovely!

Are Jo-Rosie and Nando a couple? Not that it matters to the programme or the training, I'm just nosey Grin

I was trying to work it out too. They are both in the same house and both are shown with the rescue pit bull who had his ears cut off. So I decided they were. Not that I'm nosey or anything Blush
