After much deliberation, planning and searching we have found a puppy that is perfect for us Have been looking around and the advice is often generic and conflicting.

The breeders are sending him with a bad of Royal Canin Mother and Baby Dog food, which is dry. I have been under the impression that dry food wasn't brilliant, especially for smaller dogs (my last two were large breeds) and am wondering whether we should wean him to wet food.

Another question I have is about night time. Some advise to initially have pup close by (upstairs, near bedroom door) in the crate so he doesn't feel anxious about his separation and others put pup downstairs alone.

What did you do? Anyone have experience with a Corgi Cavalier?
