She's a yellow lab but may be more fox red.

I'm a little confused though. When we first met the puppy the breeder referred to her as one name, today she referred to her as a different name! My aunt has just asked of they have swapped the puppy. Not that it makes any difference to us, has just made me think!

Peppa our puppy was given a name before we got him because the breeder didn't want to call the pups Thing 1 and Thing 2. She said obviously change the name when he's yours, it was just to make her life easier in the house with the dogs I think. So I'm wondering if names are that flexible early on in the dog's life then another change won't make any difference and perhaps the breeder just randomly changed name or something? I'm no expert you can probably tell

name wise as per OP, how about Amber? Summer? Topaz? (which is also the stone for November, apt if you're getting her almost in November!)

Ask her why she's changed the name.

Amber is a good choice.

Ooh definitely Topaz - our childhood lab was a fox-red lab called Topaz - she was a fantastic dog, a real larger than life character Smile

Ours is called Kiki.

At the time, I also liked Dolly, Dixie and Esme.

No picture - no name.

Ummm... I quite like 'cute' human names such as Dotty, Daisy, Poppy but the more unusual ones always make me laugh Sharon, Beth, Jane

So what name did you choose in the end?

Sorry for the delay - I couldn't find my message on my phone!
We went for Millie :)

Now to work on no jumping with the kids around - any tips?

We picked her up on Thursday and can get her to sit.

We are also trying to train her to go to the toilet in one area of the garden, which DH has made especially!
