I jest obviously, but he wont stop bloody squeaking!
He's an 11 month old Scottie dog, he's a good little thing, loving, attentive, reasonably obedient etc. I'm a SAHM so with him most days. I have a DD 17 who's in college and a DH who works full time.
The problems arise when 'his people' leave the house. If we all go out and he's in his bed in the kitchen he's fine and quiet. At night he'll happily go to bed and settle down. In the day if we all aren't here he will drive me up the wall.
Today DD is at college, DH at work. All he's done for most of the day is squeak. He will look out of the window for them, squeak a bit. Walk to the door, squeak a bit more.
Distraction works whilst it's happening. A filled kong kept him good for half an hour, now it's gone he's back to squeaking. After an hour or so he'll settle for half an hour, then he'll start again.
This is quite a recent thing for him and I'm at a loss of how to cure it. I feel guilty putting him into his bed but it's about the only place he stops squeaking!
