First season for pup. Quick question....

Beau is 9 months old. Cocker spaniel.

Took her for her pre op check up in the middle of last month, day before she was due to be neutered. Vet said she was coming into season so would have to wait 3 months to neuter.

She has had a few days of bleeding and that stopped about 10-12 days ago.

But her genital area is still massive! Like a peach. She looks like she has testicles when she's walking! Will it go back to as it was before the season started or will it always be like this?

Any info would be great thanks.

She is still actually having her season. Bleeding is only the first part - after this, the bitch then becomes at her most fertile. You should be keeping her away from other dogs, and making sure your garden is very secure, so no other dogs can get in. Her genital area will gradually reduce in size again as her season finishes.

Garden is secure and only walking on a lead at the moment.

Her bits are just huge though!

Glad to hear she will return to normal.
