Travel sick puppy!!!

Im lucky enough to be able to take my puppy to work which he loves because he meets lots of people and gets lots of attention but its a 25+ mile journey and he gets travel sick. If you ever wondered where the term sick as a dog comes from I know! He starts off panting/yawning and then salivates and if I've fed him in the last two hours vomits. Its worse if he's in the boot so he wears a dog seat belt and sits on the front seat looking absolutely dejected.
Will it improve with time can you get dog travel pills?

We give are puppies 1/2 a joy ride. We give it to the whole litter the night before they are going to their new homes or when they go to be vet checked/eye and hear tested.

Try taking him on smaller journeys when you are not going to work to get him used.
Could you break your journey to work to let him have a bit of fresh air before he starts to get stressed? Assuming that he doesn't start as soon as the car begins to move!
I've found that they almost always grow out of it.

The day I picked him up from the breeder he vomited in the car but the journey was nearly 200 miles the traffic awful and lots of bendy roads. Since then Ive taken him in the car every day up to about 15 miles and he has seemed ok. Today was the first time since the day I picked him up that he been a bit further and tonight we were off to puppy classes and as soon as we got near the car he slammed on the anchors and started salivating I was tired and so was he as he'd had a great morning at work playing with the children so I gave up and took him home!
cedmonds thanks for the advice where do you buy Joy rides?

Hi you can get them at a chemist they are childrens travel sickness tablets. Our vet recomended it years ok.
Don't say that they are for a dog though or they won't give them to you. My last litter went two hours in the car to be eye and hearing tested and were fine. They had had breakfast that morning as well. Some else there hadnt given the puppies anything and not fed them and there was sick everywhere! It should help beak the habit. Try putting him in the footwell on a seat beat if you can or put him in a crate on the floor. That way they can't see out of the windows and are being moved around less. Hope it helps it's horrid for them
