Day of fun ends in tooth extraction?

My DP and I live in tied accommodation, meaning that we have to be on-site from 5pm onwards. However, DP had a random day off today, which tied in with our usual night off, meaning we had a whole 15 hours to escape! So, after dropping our beloved (but rubbish at travelling) greyhound off at my DF for a day of treats, we took our other three nutters lovelies off to the forest for walks and fun.
A fantastic amount of fun was had by all, until the very last walk (in the last 30 minutes) when I threw the ball and our collie and black and tan banged heads trying to get it. There was an awful sound of banging teeth and blood everywhere, both dogs shaking heads in a befuddled manner, but looking for the bloody ball, as ever! DP and I automatically thought 'oh shit' and immediately started looking for missing teeth, but couldn't see any damage, other than my dear hound S with a split lip. Collie unscathed, as ever... Neither dog whined, moaned, blood stopped within seconds, thought everything was fine.
Got home, checked S again, nope, everything fine, mark on his lip, checked B, he's fine, all well and good, lovely. Then going to bed, one last check of S, bloody hell, one of his front teeth has only split from bottom to top.
So, it'll be a vet trip in the morning. Bollock knows the cost. Furious with myself for not seeing sooner, it's obviously not bothering S as he's fast asleep! I reckon it'll have to come out. Worried about the vet, all our dogs are rescued, S didn't have the best start in life (was left in a house for 2 weeks with other dogs that had died) and gets panicked when separated, so am wide awake worrying about overnight stays and him being nervous aggressive.

And sorry for long post, and thanks of you've read this far!

My poor hound lost his running up stairs in to house from garden, only realised on the walk as had blood all down his front. Sadly better part of £300 but love him xx

Thankfully vet has advised to leave it. We'll monitor as it's completely not bothering S and check again in a month. Can't believe it! If it was me I'd be in agony, but dogs don't appear to have the same amount of sensitivity as humans in their teeth, luckily!

Poor thing, hope it settles.
