A leonberger
Newfie
Bernese
St Bernard
Lansdeer
Retriever
Border collie
Lassie dog
Basset hound
Beagle

Any of the above is fine. :D
I'm only used to a newf though & he's not mine but does live in the same house as me. I'd love 1 of each of them to be honest. Ooh want a dog!!!!!!!!!

A Landseer IS a Newfie. Same dog, different colour...come from the same litters as the solid colour. Unless you mean the European continental type which aren't as nice, IMO ?

And by Lassie Dog, do you mean Rough Collie?

Which Retriever? Golden? I'm partial to the look of the Flatcoat, the Chesapeake Bay and Curly Coat Retrievers but gundogs really aren't my thing.

I want a Leonberger, an Akita Inu and a Caucasian Ovcharka. DP would like a Bernese, as would I if I could source the right lines for longevity. The prevalence of cancer in the breed and woefully short life expectancy puts me off, unfortunately.

I've had an Akita Inu. He was a brilliant dog. He tried to save the cat's kittens after they were killed by another stray. We woke to find the dog and the cat both gently licking the kittens trying to revive them. He mourned those kittens for days.

I want a Husky but unfortunately I don't have the right amount of time to dedicate to one yet

And a staffy too but I always seem to end up with hounds or terriers, which are lovely too, obviously.

Can I have a horse too?

my DD has an enormous list of dogs she wants, starting with every size, coat and colour combination of dachshund but lots of other breeds too.

Her other animal wishes include a cow and some hissing cockroaches.

I wanted a Siberian Husky, and ended up with 2. My gorgeous girl passed away last September, don't think I shall ever have another dog as special as she was.

Husky 2 is an ol' boy now, but still enjoying life...he's been excellent with our pup, who was my 'I want' dog...check out my profile for her pic. Smile

Awww.... rough collie! that breed was our 1st childhood dog, his name was corky :) your pup is gorgeous!

Thanks, AnotherLoad ! Smile

Never had a dog as a child, parents wouldn't allow it. Hence, the older I get (and my DCs get) the more I fill the house with animals !

I must admit, huskies are a lot of hard work, but so rewarding if you're prepared to put the effort in.

Pup is wonderful, she is so different from the sibes, and she actually responds to commands ! Grin

I would love another husky.
Or a malamute

A St Bernard and a Bernese mountain dog would do nicely too.
