Dog seizures while I'm pregnant - anyone else?

My Vizsla has had infrequent seizures over the last few years. We don't medicate him as they are not bad ones and he's not remotely phased by them. However, I'm due today and in the last 2 weeks he's had 2 seizures and then one which was quite bad the night before last. I've been to the vet with him (and they are bloody brilliant, helpful, supportive) and the vet suggested this could be due to a change in routine (I started mat leave 2wks ago) combined with changing hormones in me as I approach the birth. Has anyone else heard of this/experienced this? He's absolutely fine today - but he has been exceptionally 'clingy' (he is generally like velcro at the best of times but at the moment he is ALL over me :) )

hi there, my akita suffers from seizures. they too are infrequent and come completely random. when she has them, she will become weak and limp, often collapses into items furniture etc and urinates and soils herself. she also pants heavily and drawls. they last about 20/30 minutes. we even took her to an emergency vet after one quite bad one. but we were told and come to the comclusion that she might have mild epilepsy apparently alot of dogs have it. even if your vets seem great, dont let them try conning you into spending hundreds on scans, medication etc look at some home remedies first. we changed our akitas diet and exercise regime (i now take her running and let her off lead to release abit more) and she hasnt had a fit for nearly a year. hope everything works out for you, vizslas are beautiful dogs, would love to have one myself one day x
