Pup is having very runny and stinky poos again. Really hard to clean up in the garden. Daren't take him out in town or anywhere like that in case he messes the pavements. Fortunately, other than the garden, he's only been off the path in the depths of the woods. Vet treated him for worms again with panacur. Each time it happens I put him on rice/ egg/ chicken and wait for the poos to firm up again.

Must be his food I suppose. I thought we'd got it right with JamesWellbeloved and have a huge bag in the car waiting to be brought into the house. Now this has happened again I'm not so sure. Don't want to start the bag if I'm going to need to change it. What types of food have worked for any of you with similar problems. Can't do the raw food thing so will have to be kibble.

one of my dogs is prone to dodgy tummy. in our case jameswellbeloved was the only food he could tolerate. i think its a case of trying to find what suits. a friend uses arden grange

Thanks. We'll look at some different ones today - with small bags hopefully. Hoping shop will take back the 15kg unopened bag!

Look for something grain free - potato is the usual alternative filler, rice is usually okay too (though I have one who can't tolerate rice). Avoid wheat like the plague, maize is a usual culprit as well.

Fish4Dogs is excellent, Wainwrights do a fish and potato also but with lower fish content, the rest of their range is okay but often includes barley. Orijen, Acana etc. are grain free, can be ordered online. If he can tolerate rice then Skinners is a good budget feed but only the duck/turkey and rice working dog versions, not the muesli.

Or there's a sort of raw food lite option in Prize Choice blocks, available in the freezer in Pets at Home, just defrost in the fridge and feed by the block. :)
