Sudden weeing in the house in 6yr old female greyhound - advice please

My greyhound has started weeing in the house overnight and once in the day today. She seems fine in herself. The only change is she's had different food and doesn't seem keen, isn't eating all of it - just leaving a bit.

She had an infection earlier in the year with blood in her stool and a proper fever, but she's not like that, just weeing at the mo.

I haven't noticed her drinking more than usual but am concerned it may be a urine infection.

Are there any home remedies I can give her or should I just keep an eye on her?

I'd pop her into the vet as (purely speaking as a dog owner and not a vet myself) my first thought would be the possibility of a urinary tract infection.

I hope you get it sorted soon and pooch is okay.

I'd also suspect a UTI,and that means a trip to the vet. Best to get it checked it out, especially as it's new and she's previously been clean in the house.

Yes, make an appointment to see your vet if it continues. If possible, take a fresh urine sample with you for your vet to check.

yep my first thought too, urine infection and greyhounds dont tolerate a high temp for long either so best to get her checked out at the vets asap if you can. my cat was the same a few weeks ago. all of a sudden weeing in the house and that was a u.i.

hopefully the vet bill would be small enough that it would counter act the cost of the carpet cleaner if you left it for too long!!!

or if the new food is drier for example she may be drinking more and just having a prob holding on to the outcome!!!!
