The doghouse

Chihuahua Girlie needs a new home...

I am a Dog Trainer & Behaviourist with 3 doggies, GSD, Bullmastiff and GSDXBernese Mountain Dog.
I recently rescued two chihuahuas who were living in a yard :(
I have rehomed the male and he is doing fab! :) Spoilt rotten and he deserves it....Now it's only Bella left, she is lovely, fab with my kids, adores them actually and so snuggly and easy to have around BUT she doesn't like my big doggies, I wanted to keep her which is odd as I don't normally "do" little dogs...but that would be selfish, she is not happy here.
So I have had a look around here and I see many dog lovers who may be able to help..
I have many dog rescue contacts all over the country but I am not going to ask them for help as this is not urgent and they are all full to bursting, it wouldn't be fair.
Does anybody know of a lovely Chihuahua home?
I am based in North West but may rehome further for right home ( if one of my contacts who lives nearer can homecheck)
Thanks

While my DD would love me forever if I got her a chihuahua (rescue) I just couldnt do it. Also I have 2 young GSDs and if your girl doesnt like big dogs, I doubt she would like mine either.

Sure someone will be along who can help you out.

Well done for rescuing these 2 dogs, maybe breed rescue could help you?

I have been in contact with breed rescues and small dog rescues, so they are there if I am desperate but as I said I don't want to put any pressure on them to help me out when they are struggling themselves.
Yes my DD's love her, there will be tears when she goes :(

I'll ask my friends- they have two female chiahuahuas, and are based in the Northwest. I'll find out if they want to add to their brood...

I have to point out that my dogs appart from the Bullmastiff are v highly active and playful so I suppose I couldn't discount her living with a bigger dog who was more chilled.

Oh God, I'd love her and am Northwest. I'm not sure if we'd be right though. Three kids (9,4,2), 2 cats, and 2 chickens. I'm at uni so come sepetember I'll be out up to 10-3 a day. Would all that be ok?

i really would be interested in her, especially being a girlie. I have 2 bigger dogs who have silly moments, i also have ds who is 8. I have a dog walker who will be prepared to have her all day if i am out (this is why she is good she is a girl, her DD is allergic to male dogs). There are pictures of my 2 on profile, looking all chilled!

Kids are fine, cats are fine (she is ok with mine) and she is ok left as she likes a good snooze, though preferably on someones lap! And chickens I have no idea about, sorry.

Ok, so what would happen if a few of us are potentially interested?

I think it will come down to a baking contest, with joysk9 being force fed varying qualities of lemon drizzle cake. That's the usual procedure, isn't it?

Obviously as I was first to 'see' this post (and also master cake maker) I should be referee and judge the skills of cake and wine, just so as there is no unfair advantage...
