We're Off To Button Moon.......

My 2 LOs have discovered the joys of Button Moon on dvd.

They have been watching it all day but my eldest who is nearly 3 keeps calling it Butt Moon....

I loved button moon. they showed it recently on Nick Jr. It's funny now how you can see how they did the puppets, but I never noticed as a kid.

See I'm fond of button moon but, not as fond as I am of Rainbow, which I have to sing a long with, despite the fact my youngest is in bed by then.

have you seen the naughty episode of rainbow? it's on youtube... apparently they made it for the staff christmas do.

We all loved Button Moon - I took DS & my nephew to the stage show once, it was realy good, but DS wasn't expecting the lights to go out & started yelling!

My favourite bit was when they passed the 'fork lightning' in the space ship - a line of forks going by...

They have also been enjoying Mr Benn too, it's hilarious when they sing the theme tune... and when it says "as if by magic..." they both shout "Ping! Shopkeeper"

does it make you feel old that your kids are watching cartoons you did? It does with me, but I still enjoy them the 2nd time round

Absolutely but it surprised me how mesmerised they were considering how primitive the animation seems today.

I guess that's the magic about being a kid.

My 22 month old just had an operation and took his Mr Benn Spaceman toy I got him with him when he went down for the anaesthetic, it made me laugh to see the drs and nurses reactions!

It's a shame that this stuff is on after the kids bedtimes.

I've been buying them up on dvd on amazon, some are really cheap too, The Clangers arrived today and I'm waiting for the complete series of Bod too.

Plus I'm ashamed to say I have ringtones for all these kids shows

Can I share a strange fact with you too about Button Moon.

The theme tune was a duet sung by Peter Davidson and Sandra Dickinson yes that's right Dr Who and his squeaky voiced real life missus.

I clearly have too much time on my hands...
