Nah I think it's really funny, they are trying to say that although you thought they were a nerd, they were in fact Janet Street Porter when they grew up.

oh i'm probably looking too hard into it, but the girls i knew who 'partied hard' were a bit fucked up, by and large. i think that's why i think it's a bit weird. [freaky]

lol at JSP being the most hard partier you know. i'm not sure if it advances your case...
plus she had a monumentally fucked up relationship with her mother.
