FFS - I feel NERVOUS about a TV programme

On BBC3 tonight, at 9 pm: F* off I'm small.

About the life of a man with short stature, about the difficulties and challenges.

Am going to watch it because ds has dwarfism, but am feeling ridiculously apprehensive about what it might tell me about his future.

On another programme a while ago they were saying that the suicide rates amongst males with a short stature is very high.

I think I saw that other programme (was it about several kids and young people, mostly in America?).

It might contain a lot of positive things.

Remember it is what you teach your son that is important and that will have the largest affect on him.

If you really think it will affect you deeply can you get someone else to watch it who can let you know what happens and then tape it and watch it later?

but you can help him by being informed and letting him know he is valued an dgiving him opportunities

Unfortunately we can't record BBC 3.

I want to watch it, just feel so funny about it. It's so weird, last night I was feeling so positive because on the Ch. 5 programme about 10 year olds they had a girl with dwarfism and she was doing so well and I felt all cheerful.

I can record it onto dvd for you, if you want (it's no bother)

hewlettsdaughter, that would be great! I'll still watch it, but I might want to see it again at some point!
Thank you! If you e/mail me emkana at gmx dot net I'll send you my address!

Hope it doesn't upset you too much. I find programmes about children with SN's hard, esp it focused on DS. Although I cry I always feel positive still at the end of it. I try hard not to worry about things I can do nothing about and try and keep positive and find the silver lining.
I really just wanted to say hope you are left feeling ok, if not just a little teary, TC xx

It wasn't at all what I had expected, it was quite humurous, and the guy doing it was just gorgeous and I hope ds can be like him one day!

Thanks for the good wishes, TeeCee - hope you're well.
