I'm really enjoying it. I love listening to the Icelandic dialogue. The big guy that plays Andri is brilliant and I find the sense of suffocation from living in a tiny town, miles from anywhere at the best of times really fascinating.

There's a long thread about it somewhere, but it may contain spoilers as most of us have finished the series.

It was fascinating.

I'm around episode 7 and finding the dialogue much more guttural sounding and not as easy as other Nordic languages to recognise words (though "tak" and "nye" are present). The names apart from Andrei also difficult.

On the whole, finding it very watchable though bleak. The first episode's greyness made me physically feel cold. It is truly Nordic noir as there are no moments of levity or comedy unlike The Bridge or Arne Dahl. If it wasn't for dh insisting we watch, I'd have probably given up by episode 3 tbh but there has been more happening/ got used to the bleakness and am now hooked!

Thanks Agent I did do a search for an existing thread but got bazillions of results. Frightening how often the word "trapped" appears in thread titles. Particularly combined with wind!

It's amazing! (Ever so slightly obsessed Blush)
The big thread is here www.mumsnet.com/Talk/telly_addicts/2571352-trapped-bbc4 - if you view threads with 100 posts per page and you've seen up to end of episode 6, you're safe to see the first page Wink

I loved this too, loved Andrei esp. I do remember getting confused at the other men's names and thinking who are they talking about, who is that man? Grin

The snow was relentless wasn't it?
