Mum has let me borrow her dvd. Just off to bed to watch it now.
Have seen a few clips from her show and I know the languate can be quite blue.
Just wondered if she was popular with MNers.

Some of her stuff I found quite funny but then each episode seemed to be the same as the last so I thought it got a bit stale & samey as alot of other stuff

Well thats my view Grin

no - the old lady is quite funny but that's about it - like whizzz says - its the same every week (like Little Britain) so it gets tedious

ditto Whizzz. Nan is top dog tho.

No, I think she's awful. Every single one of her 'characters' just gets on my wick. TBH, I think she just leapt onto the Little Britain band-waggon.

if you haven't seen it before will be good for a giggle. I am sick to death of Little Britain!!

Nooo the "am I bovvered" stuff is excellent! I am the only Briton alive not to have seen Little Britain, I think!

Some of her characters have my sides aching as I roll around the floor.
Others leave me cold.
She's a very talented woman though it can't be denied.

I watch a bit of the dvd last night and found it quite good. What is that woman all about that screams at every little noise? Grin Grin

.....and there was a couple of on there as well that cracked me up. They had just been out for the evening and she wouldn't kiss him as he was too ugly and she wasn't drunk enough. Grin

oh I think she is hilarious

sweary nan is a thing of genius

and I love the uptight northern couple who are constantly horrified by the gentrification of food ("SHIT-ake Mushrooms!")

and the couple who laugh at everything "what are you LIKE!"

I LOVE her. She is much better than Little Britain. I think she is like a female Ricky Gervaise - she has identified a new set of archetypes for our society. Like Chaucer (with concomitant crude and vulgar humour!).

Uugghh NO I do not.

Awful awful awful

That swearing old later makes me cringe.

Think CT is very talented as a character actress but not actually particularly funny, iyswim. Couldn't sit through a whole DVD.
