Scariest film ever I think. The bit near the end when she's locking up the house and you suddenly see them through the partition and know there is no escape is the most perfect nightmare.
Brilliant.
Polanski may be the original four-foot Pole you wouldn't want to touch anyone with, but he's an absolutely brilliant filmaker.

Yes. It's scared the living hell out of me - no pun intended.

very spooky,I agree...

..haven't watched it for years .. I just think it probably affects anyone who has ever been pregnant in a very deep way.

But perhaps you need to be in a fairly strong position (psychologically) to 'enjoy' it.

Some stunning performances by Ruth Gordon 'are ya preg-a-nent?' and John Cassavetes as Guy, Rosemary's husband - I wanted to punch his lights out quite often

Oh, and when you realise her doctor is also 'one of them'

It is one of the few films I have had real nightmares about afterwards.

I think it is the fact that it is all centred on a woman, getting pregnant and giving birth etc that makes it far more relevant than many other 'horror' films.

this was on arte the other night - I didn't want to watch it post-pregnancy! (had seen it before - awfully misogynistic, warped film - but highly effective in its scariness)

It has always struck me as quite funny. OK... where's my coat...
