Can anyone recommend an easy reading book on how to handle/communicate with teenagers???

My sister is absolutely distraught.... her 17 nearly 18 yr old DD is completely off the rails. Has left home, her father has thrown her out too (parents live seperately) she is disrespectful, swearing, got drunk ended up unconscious in A and E. Very very very angry with EVERYONE!

By the way she has a 21 yr old sister who is fine!....no probs what so ever!

Sorry to hear that Jeddah.
I have found Bob Myers, Parenting Teenagers a great help, but I'm afraid that from the sound of it and from the age of your dn it is much too late to start reading books.
The only thing you can do is to be there for your sister and maybe offer some practical help for your niece. A bed for the night, a shower,if she is prepared to let you anywhere near her, but otherwise there is very little anybody can do until she is prepared to accept the help she so desperately needs.
Best of luck
