Go Ape for 13th birthday?

Dd will be 13 next month and we have been thinking of what to do for a party.

She's done Go Ape before a few years ago with dh which she loved so I thought she could do that with some friends. She likes the idea but I'm wondering how it would work. As an adult has to do it with them, would that be awkward? I know teens don't really like to be out with their parents especially with friends!

And what about food? I don't think there's anything on site so it would involve a drive somewhere to eat.

Any tips or ideas?

Check ratios -, often one adult to two teens. Take a picnic? Good fun!!

We just took YDS for his 13th, it is 1 adult to 2 kids, so if she won't go for that there's no point.

YDS and his mates loved it, but he's not got to the stage where we embaress him yet.

We went to a nearby pub for lunch (I needed a drink).

Oh dear, one adult to 2 children? That would mean both me and dh doing it if she has more than one friend. One of us would need to stay with our younger dc.

Don't think it's going to work.
