Discovered 12half old dd has taken a pair of tweezers to 'experiment' on her eyebrows.....sorry...but OMFG....am furious. This experimentation was undertaken despite dd hearing on many occasions how 'beautiful and perfect' were the two original samples she had framing her upper lid......but no...'they didn't look right'. She has several friends who already seek the services of a 'plucker' who culls any stray, extraneous follicle growth from the brow region. She also knows/....knew - my firm views - on how 'extra' (kids speak)....inappropropriate - I thought the whole ritual was. But still the hairs have ....GONE. I am right in assuming re-growth looking somewhat unlikely?...(She says hoping .....LIKELY?)

If she's only plucked once, then it should grow back ok. But what exactly did she do to them - pluck the whole lot out or just trim the stray ones? I don't think there's anything wrong with an almost teen girl tidying up her eyebrows.

TBH, I think you are over reacting a teeny bit. My DD is desperate to shave her armpits - she is 11.6 and has four or five tiny black hairs.
She also wanted an eyebrow pencil for Xmas to recreate the Scouse brow look.

Is it just eyebrows or are you opposed to all hair removal? What about other types of grooming- make-up, hair dye, etc?

Is your DD going to be allowed to make any decisions for herself about these things as she grows up?

Oh FFS. Let her grow up. My DD had hers threaded at that age by a professional.

12 1/2 so in year 8? I'm amazed she's waited this long. Usually eyebrow disasters begin to occur mid year 7

Relax. Perhaps take her to a threader when they grow back. Which they will.

She's just being a young teenage girl! Yes she'll want to wax and pluck, yes she'll want to wear makeup, yes she'll want to dye her hair but that's what her and about 99% of the rest of the girls her age do. Let her grow up and become a young woman and make her own decisions. My daughter is now 14 and has been going to the salon to get her eyebrows waxed since she was 12, it was her decision and I respected that.

DD had very odd eyebrows for a while in yr7, but they are more normal now she's in yr9.
