Woke up this morning to find that hammy has somehow opened his cage in the night (I'm 99.9% sure I closed it) and is nowhere to be seen! All the doors were open so he could be anywhere in the flat but I had a look this morning and couldn't see/hear him anywhere!

I've moved his cage to the floor with the door open and a grape in front of it and in it so I'll be able to tell if he's gone back (I've had to go to work) but is there anything else I can do?

Have you managed to catch him yet?

Don't lose heart. My friends hamster turned up SIX MONTHS later. They'd given up hope, so put the cage/water/food etc away and he just appeared on their DS's bed one day 😬

However, if it was me I'd keep the food and water fresh, leave out treats and hope for the best x
