Shock

Since when did our exotic (because that's what vets class cavy) rodents and rabbits be down graded from Super Furry Animals to mere small pets. Tsk

Who else thinks MNHQ should rectify this error immediately?

If they could see the size of Current BunGrin. Definitely not small. And the GPs have huge appetites and rears to match. Nothing small about them (except their special raisinsConfused).

Small pets does not have the same, well, greatness about all our lovely little critters. I really hate change for no reason, especially when other title said it all!! Will join you in an attempt to revert...

I know, I was Confused (which is easily done)

Maybe it's because The Super Furry Animals is a pop combo with lots of discs in the Hit Parade and they threatened copyright legal action?

My hogs don;t come into the "SmallPets" catergory either. Well my dainty little Himmy does, GP4 and GP3 lose us 3 hours of daylight with their lardy arses blocking out the sun............

Waves to guineapiglet

A pop combo ? 70 Really? You're not getting confused with The Animals which neither of us is old enough to remember Grin

I have told Millie there is no need to fatten herself up for Christmas. She has magnificent thighs drumsticks but still she is a very greedy girl Smile

I've had my say on the site stuff thread but mainly people are talking about Am I Being Unreasonable becoming AIBU and newcomers not being able to find it Hmm

'Tis True Wink
I knew they are Welsh but I had no idea of any of their tracks (still don't) but a quick Google tells me Rhys Ifans (Notting Hill) was the lead singer.

Our pigs are laying down winter insulation to ward off the cold.
The sows are still exhibiting some very dubious looking marks on their rumps (not round their nethers, actually on their rumps) we strongly suspect boar glue.
Hope that Dill's castration actually is 100%, the girls are getting suspiciously tubby .......... (pushes idea of piglets out of my brain)

70 - they are probably just tubby because they are fattening themselves up for Christmas like Fortifieds Millie. Very selfless of themWink

I remember the super furry animals - can't remember any songs though

When we do the Traditional Christmas Eve Guinea-Pigs in Hats photo , we will need a very wide-angled lens to get all three of them in the frame.

And, they have to look waif-like to ensure they get all the vegetable trimmings.
"poor guineas, we could be on one of those RSPCA posters y'know, we're wasting away to the size of a capybara here"

Nothing wrong with super furry animals as that's exactly what they are.

Get rid of small pets and re-instate title please.

70 please please post the photo!!
I love guinea shots at Christmas!!
Yes you are right about SFAs being another 90s / noughties pop group they were a bit like the Stereophonics etc...however the real SFA thread title has been going for a long time!

Hi everyone,

We've recently changed the name of some topics to make them fit better on mobile view, as well over 50% of our traffic now comes to us via mobile - so it honestly wasn't change for no reason.

'Small pets' seemed to cover all bases - including 70isalimit's hogs and our various feathered friends.

But we're sorry if you feel it doesn't have the same ring to it. If anyone can think of a (shortish!) title that is more suitable then please do shout - you may well think of a better alternative that hadn't occurred to us.

Hi Dawn
Thanks for explaining change, although I usually access by iPhone and never had any problems reading Small Furry Animals! What about just Small Furries??!
Don't know what others think but I would say there is a need to distinguish between fur and feathers and not have a generic thread for both, these are two completely exclusive sets of 'beasts' whose care and food requirements are very different...'birdllife' for feathers and 'small Furries' for well, er, small Furries!Wink

Yeah can we have a feathered friends section ?

I usually access on my phone via the app and never have had a problem seeing super furry animals as a title .......or indeed the full title of any other topic for that matter.

Could it be down to the phones that the programmers use for testing as the app problems with numbers were openly for iPhone users only. I use an iPhone by the way

I didn't know we had joined forces with bird owners Confused Surely they need their own section as guineapiglet said.

How about Super Furries for us rodent types and as Wishtobeunknown suggested Feathered Friends for those who like their pets airborne.
