Style and beauty

jeans for big thighs/bum and small waist

I'm so chuffed because I managed to buy some jeans today that actually fit. I have a small frame, smallish waist, but ample thighs and bum, and usually have to buy size 12 jeans, which then gape massively at the small of my back.

But I discovered the 'curvy' brand of jeans at Gap today, and they fit! Hurray. I even bought a size 10, which made me very happy, of course.

I know lots of people probably already know about these, but thought I'd post anyway, for all you bootylicious girls who love to wear jeans.

Did you know about the Gap 30% off vouchers? They email them periodically - about 4-5 times a year. I am currently wearing a pair of Curvys that have holes in but am hanging on until my next voucher comes through before I replace them! Think you can sign up online, and they don't seem to send you any other spam, so it's a great offer.

It's SO great for busy mums lazy arses like me to not have to trawl through 100 pairs of jeans before finding one style that doesn't make my not-all-that-massive-but-not-pencil-thin-thighs look like a pair of burst sausages.

LOL at burst sausages. Didn't know about the vouchers but did buy the jeans in the outlet store, so may have already got a discount, plus they had 40% off 'for a limited period' so think i bagged a bargain - paid 17.99. Come to think of it, I should have bought 10 pairs!

Sorry Speedy - I hadn't quite realised how cheap they were cos I bought other things too, then when you mentioned the voucher I looked at the receipt. I was shocked too!.

I got them in the McCarthur Glen shopping centre in Livingston (near Edinburgh).

Not sure onlyjoined, but there seemed to be a lot of stock in general, so try to get yourself over there quick!

Thanks Speedy. Hope you get lucky with a bargain too.

Speedy - what about Gunwharf?

Mind you, got a pair of Curvys for a tenner last year and the bum disintegrated within six months! Not sure if it was a reflection on my size

Just searched for Gunwharf and other GapOutlet stores online. They're all at least 40 miles away - beats the purpose of getting a bargain, doesn't it! Thanks anyhoo.

Am wondering what it was that you did to your Curvys...do you wear sandpaper knickers?

The MacArthur Glen outlet at Swindon has a big Gap shop. Not sure if tht is anywhere near you?

SpeedyGonzalez · 03/02/2010 12:30

No, it's not!

Don't worry, so sweet of you all to try to help me out, but despite my intense of you all living near outlets, I really am happy with my 30% voucher. When it comes.

Where the bloody hell are you, Gap Voucher people?? Get a move on!

I think I have sandpaper bum at this time of year, my skin is so dry.

I also live 40 miles from Gunwharf, I just ignore the petrol and make sure I buy a lot to justify the cost! Female logic is a wonderful thing.

Sadly I've become far too money-wise and so am not prone to spending sprees.
