I can't get a link to these to work for some reason but would anyone mind having a look at the PAVIA and ENNA boots on the Duo website and letting me have your opinions on them?

Not the best quality, if you're a standish fit on the calf I'd buy else where mine lasted 6 months which for £180 I wasn't happy about.

I like them both - the Enna looks a bit more streamlined and fitted so I suppose it depends on what you want. I've had good luck with Duo boots - I have two pairs and one I've worn to death (now going into third winter with them) and they are still in great condition.

The second pair I don't wear as much, but don't like them as much either. (only got them last year.)

I think a big difference is the lining - both the ones you are looking at have a leather lining, which is better than the fabric lining. The fabric lining seems to make the boots look clunkier and they don't soften up around the leg as well.

I have Pavia boots and I love them. They are great with jeans and skirts, feel v robust and are super comfy.

Are you wide or narrow of calf?

Thanks for your comments - really useful.

I have fairly wide calf and often find that standard boots do not quite fit.

I have had the Duo BERN boots in the past in a gorgeous cherry red which they don't seem to do now and these are not knee length. I found they lasted me a good two winters but then the side split.

Castille - do you have the black or brown PAVIA boots?

Mine are "charcoal" - which is dark grey nubuck rather than blackest black. They seem to go with anything.
