Please talk me out of buying a pink cashmere snood!

I must have PMT
or I just need cheering up or a hug.

I'm old enough to remember them the first time (although not in cashmere IIRC)

Please slap me on the wrist (gently- I've got PMT remember) and tell me not to.

I cannot in good conscience tell you not to.

Because I would.

So -

It will itch. Cashmere or not - itchy, itchy, itchy on your face and neck. If it's really lovely though...

OK; here's a picture note- will not be wearing it (if I buy it) as on the model- just for keeping my neck warm you understand snood

Ta for biccie LTEC!

Would I look like a fashion victim/ would I care??

Not offended in the least YLA! I was originally intending to talk myself out of purchase of said snood.
I have plenty of scarves and then some. Plus the thinking behind a snood would be that it would cover the throat area without dangling and spoiling the line if my cat.

I tried on a snood the other day but I couldn't get it to sit right on me and it just looked odd. Think I will stick to scarves!

You know it is lovely - but just being devil's advocate - if you are going to spend on cashmere - maybe a scarf or some other item that you could wear next year.

I do think snoods are very of the moment which is fab if you are all about fashion but I reckon they will have had their moment soon.

Perhaps buying a snood in a cheaper fabric might make more sense and cashmere for next year and year after - if quality is good.

Maybe I am just biased as I saw a guy in a snood this morning and yes he did look like a victim - very tragic fashion victim, but then again he was a hairdresser so perhaps he has to be super trendy for clients!

have slept on it.

Don't do it. Save your pennies for the goregousness of Aussie fashion - Leona Edmiston, Lover, Third Millenium ... beats everything on these shores hands down!!

VERY GOOD POINT LTEC, thanks. I also want to buy some great Aussie art. I need something BIG and bold for a certain room.

And don't get me started on the superiority of your fair land's swimwear & undies...

Bloke and snood are two words which shouldn't go together IMO.

I slept on it too, and I'm defo having an PMT day

Yes, Leona Edmiston .... droooool. I haven't dared go in to her shop in Westfield here bc I know what will happen ... I came home with no fewer than 5 Edmiston dresses when I was home earlier this year .. not to mention a few Little Leona ones for dd.

AJ - can't remember, are you in Sydney for your hol or not?

Edgar

LTEC- The in-laws are in Brisbane so that's our base. Family do in the Hunter Valley so we may spend a few days there and off to somewhere yummy- not decided yet between Byron Bay or Whitsundays (bearing in mind 2 little DDs to chase). Oh the life!

All insider knowledge gratefully appreciated

At the end of the day you are thinking of paying 59 quid for a scarf that you can't tie up.

Not keen on Snoods, as I remember them the first time around.

The model on your link looks a bit like the hungry caterpillar. Not a good look.

at guy with snood. That is a definite NO.

Yes he did look like a proper fashion victim -!
Just had some cashmere fingerless gloves arrive from Pure - Cashmere is sooooo lovely, would definitely but something you could wear for more than one season.

Right - I'm currently knitting this one:

snood/hood

in a blue tweedy cashmere/silk mix. Is this acceptable to MN fashion gurus?

You'll end up with snood-hair. Buy a lovely big scarf instead. Step away from the snood

AJ if you fancy something pink and knitted, have you seen the fingerless mitts at Toast? More longevity than the snood I think, cheaper too. They're on my Xmas list:-)

I have a free P&p and free returns code if you like
