Jo Malone perfume

I have never really found or worn a perfume that I like. Birthday coming up and have decided I'm a big girl now and in need of 'my' perfume . Trouble is, I'm a bit fussy and don't think I would find it simply by browsing the shelves in a shop.

I'm not near enough to London to go into one of the perfume shops there, but I could get to the Jo Malone outlet at Selfridges in Birmingham.

Has anyone had a JM fragrance consultation? If so, how long did it take, and did you find something you liked?

Thanks, that is helpful. The taster set sounds like it might be a good idea.

I've been using Jo Malone for years and also recommended it to lots of friends. I didn't have a consultation as such - just smelt the ones I liked - then the consultants help you to 'fragrance combine' to find your own signature scent. Before you buy put the perfume on and then walk around town for a couple of hours to see if you still really like it. They don't really do samples, but you can buy a taster set which has miniature sizes of the popular fragrances for you to experiment with.

I was given the taster set years ago...loved it. I always wear perfume now children are a little older and have 2 JM in my fragence wardrobe i love. Lovely helpful staff I find so i would call them and book in, they sometimes do scented arm/hand massages which are lovely too. Also so pretty and nice to use. If you are a bath lover have a good look at their bath oils. Smell lovely and a really luxurious treat, especially if you find a scent you really love.

Enjoy
