Irrational fear of going to the hairdressers, so cut my own hair last night

And ended up with a mullet! I was trying to go for a "Choppy" look!

Am scared of going as I home dye, and it doesn't look too bad but does go brassy. I can't afford salon dye prices, especially not where I live (I know, I should go to the local college, but it is the taking the time out of the day aspect too) and so am really scared of being doubly told off when I try and get it straightened out at the salon. I hate hate hate having my hair cut, and really resent paying through the nose for an hour of torture and scolding from the stylist, so need some good "fark off and don't you DARE comment on my hair dye" comments so that it is a little more bearable!

Why not be honest and say that you home dye due to the cost of salon visits and that you're perfectly happy with the colour thank you very much! If it's just the cut you want them to sort out then you'll only need one visit and you'll never have to see them again so who cares what they think.

If your hair is a brassy colour (and you're not happy with it. Sod what the hairdresser thinks) then why not try a toning shampoo for a few washes.
