Help me spend money on jewellery please

I really want a bangle (or possibly a bracelet, I am undecided). I have this necklace, would like something in the same slightly chunky, I-think-I'm-too-cool-and-individual-for-tiffany's-and-like-to-support-indie-designers style. (I should add, I spent a lot less on this necklace when she was first making it, I am not a millionaire!)

I don't mind spending a couple of hundred quid for something absolutely gorgeous, but it has to be pretty bloody nice. I want to get something nice as my present to myself for giving birth (ermm, 8 months ago), so like the ides of being able to get a matching bangle/bracelet/something else if I am mad enough to go through the whole thing again.

So, any wrist attire you can recommend? Any nice jewellery designers out there?

if you are anywhere near exeter you can see all those designers stuff at polka in exeter. i discovered them while looking for a wedding that i actually liked.

Will be waiting till kingdom come for DP to get me something - apparently since we couldn't have flowers in the hospital he was absolved of all responsibility to buy me something.

BTW, have been saving up since the birth to be able to buy myself something - have literally only bought that one other piece of jewellery ever, am not in the habit of dropping hundreds on jewellery

There are some great silversmiths on folksy, I'm a jewellery designer myself, although I work with semi precious stones.

I am completely in awe of some of their work, and will be buying some myself very soon.

I can't believe you have that necklace! I have been dropping hammer size hints at DH for my birthday. Not that I have a cat in hells chance of getting it, it is waaaaaaaaaayyyyyy out of our price range. But lucky you for having it. Is it as fab in real life? Does anyone ever say anything about Bond film?

Goingslowly I think it's nicer in real life (naturally). Really lovely and a statement piece, which is good as I can't ever afford to buy another necklace ever again. Quite a few people made the connection when the film was first out. Mine's a bit different (had it a bit more personalised), but broadly the same. Sophie's lovely, and will happily chat about doing bespoke stuff (most of which is cheaper, the lover knot seems to be her most expensive thing by a long way).

here Dh bought me it a few weeks ago and everyone who has seen me wear it has asked where I got it from - it sort of makes a jingly sound and looks very ethnic and probably far cooler than anyone as old as me should be wearing.
