Ok...so I'm going to LA for onr week in June, for a wedding.

What do I wear on the flight?

What do I wear shopping/sight seeing?

What do I wear to the wedding (at a ranch in Malibu)?

Overall, what do I need to take?

there was a thread about long haul flight attire the other day - you need cashmere and cotton, go to Pyjama Room, Brora and Pure.

Shopping/ sight seeing - LA is casual - go jeans, flats, stripey tee, huge bag, big sunglasses (this season's nautical look perfect)

wedding - wear a maxi and a wedge. To me, wedding+ ranch + malibu = slightly hippy, flowy vibe. Leave behind any British notions of hats and frocks.

does this help at all?

ps - have spent reasonable amount of time in LA so don't think am talking out of arse ....

BTW - jeans may be too hot, so do shorts if your legs are up too, cotton trews if not. Cropped if you must.

also sun-dresses are good for shopping and sightseeing - just cos they are easy to yank off in changeroom when you see something that you want to buy.... or at least try... which you inevitably will ...

something strappy and shift-like, ideally. Knee length, with flip-flops. Cool and comfortable.

BTW, very jelly about your trip, it sounds ace!!!! have an awesome time. Show us links to anything you are thinking of buying/ wearing please!!!
