Need a "Trousers" outfit

Ok, after taking a look at my legs and realising that they're

a) full of blotches where I've tortured the hairs with tweezers and
b) full of bruises...!

I don't think it will be a great idea to wear a dress to this presentation night.

So can anyone recommend a nice "trousers" outfit? it needs to be posh (men are in suits).
