Why hasn't Gap got a UK website?

Surely it is a big enough store to warrant a website which delivers to the UK. Nice lady in store promised it was imminent (last year) but there's still no sign of one. Am sick of travelling miles to buy the kids socks, the only brand which seem to stay on their feet for some reason. Plus I like their winter jumpers and scarves too.

Can everyone please bombard them with requests so those of us who live miles from a store can have nice parcels delivered?

i know it really annoys me.
plus the US one has not got the same clothes on it.
the plain stuff is great- good black trews, navy cardigans, interesting tynic dresses.

I can't look at the US website, it upsets me seeing those lovely things I can't order. And they let you order from Banana Republic too and combine shipping. Sigh..

I hate shops that haven't cottoned on to online shopping yet.

I emailed them about 5 years ago and was told it was under development

Hi TheBlonde

Do Banana Republic have a catalogue? How does their mail order work? I quite often see stuff of theirs in the magazines that I like but don't get the opportunity to get to their shops so being able to order by mail would be great.

If you let them know what you've seen they'll find it and mail it to you for a charge. There doesn't seem to be a range online though, or a catalogue unless i looked in the wrong place. Grazia has a feature on them this week, lots of nice things.

For me, it's not so much that they don't do mail order (I'm lucky enough to live near lots of branches) but that they don't have a UK website period. I had to contact them about a customer service matter & I ended up having to email the US head office to get a phone number!
